These are *my* shoes in more than one sense.

1. i own them

2. I designed, drafted, stitched & lasted them.  I also built up the lasts to fit my feet ... and my teachers were suprised how accurately I was able to mirror image the sanding - purely by eyeball. I think it's easy to think of technology as 'high tech' and forget that bakelite is still technology.  this piece is around 60 years old and still completely intact.    Again, dusting not my forte.  I hadn't noticed how much there was on this until I took the photo.  Not houseproud at all, and my cleaner doesn't touch my sewing machines or they'd ( Read more... )

thankfully there was something to see through my insect screened window that faces the west,. By standing on my bed I could see over the roof next door & it's a prettier view than that roof of theirs.

I'm not a monochromatic minimalist, so I can find something in most colours. Though blue is easy to find in my kitchen, this is still sitting out after Free Comic Book Day.  the male wig head is closer to my size than the ladies, although it's still smaller than me.

this is a teency weency dinosaur, It's barely 2cm high (or 3/4") and made out of a generic form of blu-tak.

I use to love playing with plasticine - the really old school plasticine that became more malleable as you worked it.

my  bffffff for *cough* years.  She's in another country tooo.  Actually living alone and being a bit off colour I stayed away from local peeps on my 'love list'  one of my favourite photos of her wedding.
